LONG ISLAND, N.Y. — What looked like a movie scene played out in real-life as a small plane made an emergency landing next to a busy highway on Tuesday.
A motorist's dash camera caught the landing on video.
Jason Campbell was driving down the Southern State Parkway in Long Island when he noticed the plane.
"My first reaction was, I hope it's not gonna land in front of me or on top of me. Then I realized it was going in the opposite lane. It landed safely," he told News 12 Long Island.
Fortunately, the plane didn't hit any cars and appeared to land safely. Police said the two people on board had minor injuries.
"It definitely felt like a movie," Campbell said. "It was not something I ever thought I'd witness in real life."
