PLEASANT GROVE — Locked up for the entirety of the game, Lehi managed one more touchdown and held off Pleasant Grove's last-ditch effort to claim a 35-28 win Friday night.

With both teams tied 28-all going into the fourth quarter, Lehi pulled ahead on a 1-yard rushing touchdown by Kolose Latu, which turned out to be the game-winner.

The Vikings had under two minutes left on the clock to change the fate of the game; however, their efforts fell short as the Pioneers' defensive line held the home team off just long enough to intercept the ball in Pleasant Grove's end zone to end the game.

Lehi scored the first touchdown of the night as quarterback Jett Niu connected with Mays Madsen for a 29-yard passing touchdown. But Pleasant Grove's offense answered back swiftly. Quarterback Carson Rasmussen threw a 44-yard touchdown pass to Tanner Blake to tie the game.

The race was on.

Vikings fans had barely slowed their cheering before more screams erupted from the stands when Tu'alau Wolfgramm intercepted a pass for a pick six on a 40-yard return to take a 14-7 lead.

Pleasant Grove didn't stop there, either. Wolfgramm proceeded to score a 77-yard rushing touchdown followed by a successful point after attempt from kicker Parker Hall to extend its lead by 14 points before the end of the first quarter.

Lehi started its comeback when Niu threw a 75-yard passing touchdown to Justice Cooper to make it a one-possession game.

The Pioneers entered the second quarter strong with an interception by Luis Garcia on Pleasant Grove's 21-yard line and was followed by a 2-yard rushing touchdown by Latu lock the game 21-all.

Lehi broke the tie with a 33-yard rushing touchdown by Latu in the third quarter, but the effort was soon matched by Wolfgramm's 12-yard rushing touchdown to even the score again.

The Pioneers completed the comeback with its score in the fourth quarter.
