WALLABY STREET — I'm constantly impressed by the claymation in the "Wallace & Gromit" franchise, but I think the effort from a fan and YouTube creator to make Wallace's inventions in real life is equally impressive.
The creator, Joseph's Machines, said "Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers" was a favorite of his as a child, and he said creating this video achieved a childhood dream.
Some of the most impressive stunts include lining up the jam to hit toast as it pops out of the toaster, getting a dog to do exactly what Gromit does in the movie, and creating a bed that can drop him into pants without being seriously dangerous.
Getting out of bed and making breakfast is often the hardest part of my day, but my engineering skills are far from creating a bed that will literally drop me out of it and right to breakfast.
If you want to see more about how Joseph's Machines accomplished this feat, he posted a longer video on his channel explaining the trickier parts of the machines and showing his video right alongside the claymation. And he has produced many more videos using machines to over-engineer daily tasks.
I'm interested in seeing a sequel when he creates a spaceship to take Gromit to the moon for some cheese.
