SALT LAKE CITY — After the firing of former head coach Craig Smith, the Runnin' Utes roster has undergone major changes.

Utah forward and up-and-coming talent Keanu Dawes entered the transfer portal on March 29 before announcing a little over a week later a return to the program as only one of two players to stay with the Utes.

The other was freshman Ibi Traore, who was sidelined last year with a long-term injury just before the start of the season. The rest of the roster hit the portal.

As such, newly hired head coach Alex Jensen and staff had essentially a clean slate to work with to build a roster for the 2025-26 season. The following is a look at how Jensen's first roster is taking shape and where former Utah players have committed to play in the future.

As it stands, Utah has eight players committed to play for the program next season, leaving spots for seven more scholarship players (assuming the new roster limits are approved in the ongoing House settlement case being argued in court).
