Throw a few new Fourth of July party ideas into your celebration this year!
With the Fourth of July being a little under two weeks away, there is still time to plan, prep and possibly introduce new traditions to your celebrations.
Ali Crotzer, owner of the company "Party Posts," shared a darling roundup of Fourth of July activities and decorations to inspire your own party planning efforts.
Set Up a Chocolate Milk Bar
In the wintertime, you have a hot chocolate bar. Bring the same idea to summer with a chocolate milk bar! Grab the whipped cream, sprinkles and any other toppings you love on hot chocolate for this warm-weather appropriate treat bar. Bonus: it's not near as messy as a summer ice cream bar.
Create a Fourth of July Family Canvas
This is an idea Ali adapted from her mom's Christmas tradition. Each year, the family got a new charm that represented their holiday season. Ali does this with the Fourth of July! She uses E6000, tie tacks and a canvas flag. Each year, they pick a charm, glue it to a tack and pin it to the flag. Each one reminds them of a specific memory from that year.
Decorate With Beads
Grab some cheap sunglasses, hair brushes or clips from the dollar store and decorate them with fun beads! Use E6000 to stick them to the back of the brush, the frames of the glasses or the sides of the clips.
Make Pipe Cleaner Bracelets
Use the same beads to make patriotic bracelets. Pipe cleaners are easier for little hands to manage and they can make friendship bracelets to their heart's content!
Make a Bandana Banner
Fold bandanas into a triangle and tie them together for a super easy, Americana banner! Tie it between two of Ali's Party Posts for an instant centerpiece.
