SALT LAKE CITY — Leopard print has quietly pulled off one of fashion's greatest tricks: it went from trend to neutral. Most of us don't think twice about wearing it anymore. But this year, a whole new group of animal prints is stepping into the spotlight.

Stylist Reachel Bagley called it Animal Print 2.0. She shared how to wear these prints in a fresh and sophisticated way.

Bambi Print

Fierce: Pair with powder blue

Reachel said pairing Bambi print with powder blue is a fresh take on animal print. The warm, earthy tones of the print contrast with the cool blue for a balanced outfit that feels soft, approachable and easy to wear. She recommended looking for denim and chambray pieces to pair with Bambi print.

Wild: Pair with plaid

If you're feeling a little more adventurous, Reachel said you can treat Bambi print as a neutral and pair it with plaid. The mix works because the two patterns are different scales, so each print stands out without competing.

Zebra Print

Fierce: Pair with olive green

Zebra print these days is stepping away from the stark black and white contrast and moving towards more brown and cream tones. Pairing it with olive green softens the boldness of print, grounds the pattern and makes it easier to incorporate into everyday outfits.

Wild: Pair with herringbone

You can go further with zebra print by pairing it with herringbone. Reachel layered a zebra-print vest under a herringbone jacket and paired it with olive utility-style pants.

Snake Print

Fierce: Pair with black cherry

Reachel said to incorporate snakeskin with accessories like boots or heels and pair them with rich black-cherry tones. The deep burgundy color complements the pattern without overpowering it for a polished and sophisticated fall outfit.

Wild: Pair with stripes

Reachel paired snakeskin with classic stripes for a bolder look. The simplicity of stripes lets the snakeskin stand out while still keeping everything cohesive. Coordinate colors throughout the outfit to tie the two patterns together.
