ICY DRIVEWAY, Canada — There are a plethora of lessons kids can learn from chores like shoveling the driveway after snowfall, but for two Canadian youngsters last month, they got a crash course in kindness.
That's because, as they worked, with much snow left to clear, a passerby plow noticed they could use a hand — or a plow.
Thanks to the do-gooder, the deed was finished in no time. The plow driver came through in a big way, and hopefully those kids were able to make a snowman, sip on some hot cocoa or chip away at their chore list faster due to the time that was made up by the act of kindness.
According to the video description, the driver's good deed took place in Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada, on Jan. 15. Commenters on the YouTube video noted how such a small gesture can mean so much.
"That's Batman," proclaimed one poster.
"Faith in humanity restored," another said.
It's true that tension can fill the headlines, even more so since 2025 turned to this year, it oddly seems. But you don't have to look too far for a little humanity, nonetheless.
