PROVO — An Ogden man has been arrested and accused of manipulating young girls online into sending him explicit pictures and videos.

Damian James Dehache, 28, was booked into the Utah County Jail Thursday for investigation of two counts of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, two counts of enticing a minor, 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and 11 counts of distributing harmful materials to a minor.

The investigation began in July when the Utah County sheriff's special victims unit was called about a 15-year-old girl receiving a sex toy in the mail from a 28-year-old man.

"The complainant's juvenile daughter has been speaking with Damian after (she and her brother) met him online. The juvenile female has been speaking with Damian online through multiple platforms for approximately a month. The 15-year-old female … indicated that she developed a relationship with the 28-year-old male, Damian Dehache," according to a police booking affidavit.

Dehache and the girl exchanged multiple explicit photos and they used FaceTime to communicate, she told police.

Deputies tracked down Dehache in Ogden and arrested him after questioning. Detectives also searched his phone and "located several conversations on social media where the children both appeared to be and identified themselves as minors. These conversations were sexually explicit conversations," the affidavit states.

One of the conversations was with a 12-year-old girl in August and deputies say he also encouraged that girl to send him multiple explicit pictures and videos.

"He also uses manipulative language when the child does not send what he requests," the affidavit alleges.

Investigators say Dehache recently moved to Utah from Las Vegas and they have requested that he be held in jail without the possibility of posting bail pending the filing of formal charges.
