SPRINGVILLE — Six months after his divorce from Ruby Franke was finalized, Kevin Franke has announced his engagement and upcoming marriage to another woman.
In a Facebook post on Sept. 28, Kevin Franke stated, "I am thrilled to announce my engagement to a wonderful and amazing woman Becca Bevan. We are planning a simple wedding November 14 here in Springville with family. I just wanted to share my happy news with all of you my friends.
"Redemption is a real thing. There were moments during the past three years when I didn't think I would ever feel happiness or the warm embrace of a loving partner again. I'm so grateful for grace, resilience, a loving God who gives me hope, and family and friends that buoyed me when I couldn't stand on my own. Thank you, All! Here's to new beginnings and fresh starts!" he posted.
Franke, who turned 47 on Thursday, is the former husband of Ruby Franke, who is currently serving up to 60 years in the Utah State Prison for child abuse.
Ruby Franke, 42, a Springville mother of six who gained millions of followers with her "8 Passengers" YouTube channel, was arrested in southern Utah along with Jodi Hildebrandt, 56, after Franke's son climbed out of a window in Ivins and ran to a neighbor's home seeking food and water. That led to the discovery that two of her children, ages 9 and 11, had been abused from May 22 until her arrest on Aug. 30, 2023.
Washington County Attorney Eric Clarke described the two youngest Franke children as being kept in a "concentration camp-like setting" for months, suffering extensive injuries and emotional abuse.
Franke reached a plea deal in 2024, and both Franke and Hildebrandt were sentenced to one to 15 years in prison on each of the four counts of aggravated child abuse. The judge ordered the four sentences to run consecutively, meaning each woman will serve between four and 60 years.
Kevin Franke filed for divorce three months after his wife's arrest, and the divorce was finalized in March of this year. He was awarded full custody of their four minor children, while Ruby Franke was ordered not to have contact with the children.
