ST. GEORGE — Charges mount for a suspected serial burglar arrested last month who was reportedly tied to more than 145 storage unit break-ins in St. George and over 80 in Washington, police said.
Aaron Mayeda Brewer, 34, became the primary suspect in the string of burglaries after a call to police in the early morning hours of Nov. 13. Officers were dispatched to a report of a man acting suspiciously near a storage facility in St. George.
The suspect took off at a high rate of speed when the caller approached the vehicle. The storage manager took note of the suspect's California license plate, which was information that was turned over to the police.
A registration check of the plate indicated the vehicle was registered to Brewer and provided officers with a home address on East Brigham Road in St. George.
