SALT LAKE CITY — There was a lot to talk coming out of Utah Hockey Club's first ever media day on Wednesday.
Taking the first turn at the podium with the media, team president Chris Armstrong pulled back the curtain on the team's grand vision, including the promise of indoor snow at the regular season opener on Oct. 8 against the Chicago Blackhawks.
The team opened training camp on Wednesday and will hit the ice for the first time together on Sunday against the St. Louis Blues in Des Moines, Iowa. Many storylines surround the team, but none bigger than the excitement the players and staff both show themselves and want to spread for a new fan base in Utah.
