GRANTSVILLE — A man was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition after a motorcycle accident on I-80 near Grantsville on Sunday afternoon.

Cpl. Luis Silva with Utah Highway Patrol said the rider of the motorcycle, a 69-year-old male, may have had a medical emergency and went off the roadway, catching surrounding vegetation on fire.

The Utah Department of Transportation posted about the accident after 3 p.m.

No other information about the man's current condition or the extent of the fire was given.
