OGDEN — Police arrested a 37-year-old Murray woman Wednesday, after parents in two separate incidents reported that she "tried to take their children forcibly from them," according to charging documents filed Thursday.

Police say Amanda Christine Grundvig stated "she heard voices from God and that she needed to take the children away and leave."

In two separate incidents, parents were walking around the Lantern House homeless shelter, 269 W. 33rd St. in Ogden, when Grundvig grabbed their child, court documents say.

Both children involved were 4 years old, according to the charges, and Grundvig had them for around 15 seconds "before other people saw what was happening and stopped Amanda."

The incidents were captured on surveillance footage, police say, and Grundvig is charged with two counts of child kidnapping, first-degree felonies.
