SALT LAKE CITY — An Ogden woman died in an ATV crash in Idaho on Friday, authorities said.
The crash took place about 8:15 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Mountain Way and Dogwood Circle in Fish Haven, Bear Lake County, Idaho, according to a news release from Bear Lake County Sheriff Bart Heslington. A woman driving an ATV had lost control, and the vehicle overturned, the release said.
The woman, who was the only rider on the ATV, was treated at the scene before being transported to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho. Medical personnel attempted life-saving measures, including emergency surgery, but were unsuccessful and the woman died from her injuries.
She was identified as 36-year-old Alicia Springfield, of Ogden. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation, the news release said. Further details weren't available Sunday.
