SWANAGE, England — This is a story of determination. An inspiring tale that we can all relate to. A story filled with obstacles, ups and downs and plenty of good old-fashioned perseverance. This is the story of a group of guys who just set out one day to cross a road and became ice dancers along the way.

One bitterly cold day in the charming coastal town of Swanage, England, a group of guys tried to cross a street. The elements, angered for unknown reasons, raged against the group and coated the steep road with a thick layer of ice. These men would not be making their way across the road that day if Mother Nature had anything to do with it.

But the group persisted and fought back against the ice, at times on their hands and knees. It was slow going and involved quite a few laughs from onlookers (including from the man filming this video from a nearby window). But I imagine they cheered each other on in their hearts and had the promise of a warm building waiting for them once they accomplished their goal of making it across this Goliath-like road.

Yesterday's Have You Seen This?

After plenty of slipping and sliding, the video ends as the pedestrians begin to make their way inside, having finally all regained their balanced and battled their way through the ice. Enjoy the video (it's amazing and literally just two full minutes of people sliding around a slippery English road), and let it be a message to you: whatever your metaphorical slippery road is today, you can make it across.
