THE GARDEN — My favorite thing about onions is the part they played in the plot of the classic teen novel and Shia LaBeouf movie "Holes."
To be honest, that's actually the only thing I like about onions. If things went my way, I would never interact with the vegetable at all other than reading about its life-saving properties in fiction. I don't like the taste, I don't like the texture, and do not even get me started on the painful nightmare that is cutting up onions.
Needless to say, I would rather undergo several serious forms of torture before experiencing what the toddler in this video does.
The video, which seems to have originated from Reddit several years ago but just started going viral again this month, shows an adorable blonde toddler chomping down an onion like it's a fresh Granny Smith apple.

Babies are cute. What else can I say? Here are two cute babies doing cute things. Let the cute-ageddon begin.The toddler seems to not be fully aware that eating onions this way isn't exactly a normal activity for humans. With every bite, her face scrunches up in apparent disgust, but she keeps at it, seemingly determined to prove to everyone that onions are just as delicious as apples.
I personally will not ever agree with that and will happily stick to my onion-free life. But maybe this girl is just another long-lost descendent of Stanley Yelnats and will someday distribute sploosh to the masses.
