SALT LAKE CITY — Event organizers say this year's Salt Lake City Twilight Concert Series will blend "nationally recognized and upcoming recording artists" with local musicians when it returns in June.

It will also feature a second venue.

The Salt Lake City Arts Council announced its 2024 lineup on Monday, featuring Laufey, Thee Sacred Souls, Watchhouse, JUNGLE, the Marías and Alex G as headliners for six shows between June 21 and Aug. 21. Five of the concerts will be held at the Gallivan Center, as has been the case in recent years, while the Marías will play at Library Square.

The lineup will bring "musically diverse artists who represent strong artistic values and diverse social principles," the Salt Lake City Arts Council said.

"The 2024 Twilight Concert series features a lineup that is diverse, exciting and has something for everyone," said Felicia Baca, the council's executive director. "We're honored to bring residents and visitors alike to experience the power of music and explore our incredible city.

Jazz-pop singer-songwriter Laufey will help launch the concert series' 37th season on June 21. Her song "From the Start" has generated more than 300 million streams on Spotify and she was the most streamed jazz artist on Spotify in 2022, according to Music Business.

Thee Sacred Souls, headlining on June 27, have been featured on a few late-night television shows in recent years. Reviving '60s and '70s soul, the California-based group landed at No. 10 on KCPW's list of best albums of 2022.

Andrew Marlin and Emily Frantz, now known as Watchhouse, will headline the July 19 show. The North Carolina folk husband-and-wife duo have about 3 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

Jungle, a London-based funk-dance group, will headline on Aug. 7. The group is perhaps best known for their songs "Candle Flame" and "Back On 74." The latter found success on TikTok after it was released last year. It's also been streamed more than 150 million times on Spotify. They're slated to play at Lollapoolza in Chicago days before their Salt Lake City show.

The Marías, performing on Aug. 16, are most known for their song "Cariño," which has now racked up more than 130 million streams on Spotify since it was released as a single in 2018. They were also featured on Bad Bunny's wildly successful 2022 album "Un Verano Sin Ti" and their sophomore album is slated to be released in May.

Indie rocker Alex G will close out this year's lineup, performing on Aug. 21. His catalog includes "Mary," "Sarah," and "Treehouse," which, combined, have over 500 million Spotify streams.
