THE DRIVE-THRU — I take pride in the work I do. I mean, that may seem far-fetched to some of you as I regale you with stories from my past and loosely tie them to the video I'm showing you, but I still take pride in it. I hope to make your day a little better with a fun video and a tale of the bizarre life I've led.
I want to do good work in whatever I do, but no matter how hard I work or the attitude I bring to my job, I will never be as good at any job I do as this Australian McDonald's drive-thru worker does as he takes orders.
This video is a few years old, but with less than a million views it's clear not nearly enough of you have seen this. A family is ordering dinner from McDonald's and they get the world's best drive-thru employee taking their order. His enthusiasm and sense of humor are on another level. I wanted this family to just keep ordering food so I could hear the man's response to whatever they ordered.
I pray he got their order right in the system so they were handed the right food and drinks. But even if it was all mixed up, I still think this guy is one of the best to ever do the job.
It's time for me to step up my game and be better. Better for me and better for you, and also better for the people signing my checks. Thanks for the inspiration, mysterious McDonald's drive-thru worker from Down Under.
