From Naples, to New York, Chicago, and San Francisco, pizza is a beloved meal worldwide. In the United States alone, Americans eat 100 acres of pizza per day, according to the Washington Post. That breaks down to 46 slices of pizza per person per year.

Since traveling to New York or Chicago isn't an option for most people, there are plenty of local places to grab a slice that will rival those in anywhere.

Check out these unique Utah pizza places for your next meal out.

Este Pizza Co — Sugar House, Downtown, Park City

If you’re looking for a purely authentic New York-style pizza, Este Pizza Co is the place for you. With their large, thin slices that fold perfectly in half, coupled with their no-frills crust and sauce, this is classic New York pizza done right. They also deliver, so if you'd rather stay home in your sweats, you can still enjoy some fresh pizza.

Summit Inn Pizza — Kamas, Bear Lake, Lehi

Do yourself a favor and take a mini trip up to Kamas or Bear Lake for a day and stop in at Summit Inn Pizza. Eight-time winner of the Best of State award for pizza, Summit Inn is all about quality.

"Farm to table fresh" is their mantra — they source all their ingredients from local suppliers and make their dough fresh daily. Their methods are intentionally old school, but that’s what makes all the difference. Summit Inn is worth the drive and with their Lehi location, it’s now more convenient than ever to indulge in some of the freshest pizza around. For a unique flavor, try their chicken pesto or taco pizzas.

From Scratch — Downtown SLC

In the same vein as Summit Inn Pizza, From Scratch is also known for making all of their ingredients from scratch — even their ketchup! From Scratch specializes in a decidedly more artisanal fare, making their fresh pizzas some of the most unique around.

They don't have dozens of specialty pizzas, but the ones they have will have you coming back for a second slice. Try the White Out for a creamy, cheesy flavor or the Fennel Sausage for a zesty meal.

Antica Forma — Vernal/Moab

Boasting close to five-star reviews on Google, Facebook, Yelp, and Tripadvisor, clearly, Antica Forma has some delightfully satisfying Neapolitan pizza on the menu.

Modeling their pizza after the best Naples has to offer, Antica Forma makes their pizza in wood-fired ovens, using hand-rolled “double zero” caputo flour, sauce made from San Marzano tomatoes, and hand-stretched mozzarella. This little shop is as close as Vernal and Moab will get to the volcanic plains south of Mount Vesuvius.

The Pie Hole — Downtown SLC

Sometimes you just need good pizza, and you need it now. Enter The Pie Hole. Unlike other pizzerias, The Pie Hole is all about variety and convenience. Their fast-moving line and even faster service is what makes this place ideal for lunch or dinner on-the-go. Since it's by-the-slice, their daily varieties of pizza are easy to sample. Not to mention it's good pizza — their dozens of 5-star reviews on Google tell you all you need to know. A bonus is their hours; they stay open until 2 a.m. every night.

Zion Pizza & Noodle — Springdale

Should you find yourself in Zion National Park and have a pizza craving after a long day of hiking, Zion Pizza & Noodle is your answer. Famous for their delicious pizza crust, many reviewers on Yelp comment that they find the pizza so satisfying they can’t stop until it's gone.

Additionally, Zion Pizza & Noodle is one of the few restaurants in the state with a beer garden. So take advantage of the views, good food and unwind in their cozy restaurant.

Pizzeria Limone — Salt Lake Valley

Life is hectic and as nice as it would be to sit down at a traditional restaurant for some quality pizza, time is of the essence. But that doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice for quality. Enter Pizzeria Limone. This local chain is some of the very best “fast casual” pizza you will find in Utah. With a menu boasting classics like Pepperoni as well as more artisanal fare like the Pera, or Margherita Napoli, Pizzeria Limone is a great option if you’re looking for a fast-casual lunch or dinner with friends or family.

Fiore Wood Fired Pizza — Food Truck

Perhaps the ultimate in convenience and quality, Fiore Wood Fired Pizza is the best of both worlds. If you haven’t tried this innovative approach at food truck fare, Fiore Pizza’s mobile brick oven is one to try out. Serving Utah County, Salt Lake County, and Park City, pizzas are baked on-site and made to order in their mobile brick oven. Check out their website, Instagram, or Facebook for their weekly schedule and locations.

The Pie — Salt Lake Valley, Ogden

If cheese, garlic, and butter are on your list of favorite things to eat, then The Pie Pizzeria is a must. With several locations valley-wide, there shouldn’t be a problem getting your fix. The famous U of U location is definitely worth a visit. It's located in the basement and open until 2 a.m., and the location is an experience in and of itself. Whether it be their monster-sized 23-inch pie, the Mountain of Meat, or some cheesy pull-a-part breadsticks, there really is nothing like celebrating at The Pie after a game or a night out on the town.

With crispy crust piled high toppings, Davanza’s is a solid choice for individuals and families looking for a great deal on great pizza while in Park City.

Settebello — Downtown SLC

Pizza in Napoli is soft and foldable, and Settebello nails the taste, texture, aesthetic, and ingredients. In fact, many of their ingredients are imported directly from some of the very best pizzerias in Napoli. For example, their flour is from Napoli, prosciutto cotto from Parma, tomatoes from San Marzano, prosciutto crudo from Parma, and parmesan cheese from Modena.
