Whether it’s creating a new tradition or following an old family tradition, most families love to use these moments to build memories with their loved ones. It might be baking and decorating cookies, or seeing a family movie, or even creating family holiday cards, just about everyone looks forward to creating memories together.

Family traditions are a wonderful way to bond with loved ones and friends, and they create a sense of unity, connectedness and identity. While it’s often the case that traditions change or evolve over time, every holiday season is an opportunity to add to the family collection of stories and events. This year, make a choice to add a new tradition, one that will be deep in your family’s memories forever.

Station Park in Farmington offers many events, with something to please every member of the family. Here, you can spend time with your loved ones and friends, celebrating the holidays year after year.

Santa and Mrs. Claus come to Station Park for visits with family, pets

Pictures with Santa Claus are on many families’ ‘must-do list’ – the memories and the photographic records of these visits are priceless. This year, there are several ways to take advantage of a visit with Santa. You can bring your family to Santa’s Arrival Celebration on Saturday, Nov. 17, beginning with family activities at 6 p.m., with Santa and Mrs. Claus arriving at their cottage at Fountain Square around 6:30 p.m.

Visiting Santa hours for the rest of the holiday season are Monday through Saturday, noon to 8 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 6 p.m., with a quick dinner break from 3:30-4:30 p.m. daily. Every child visiting Santa receives a treat.

For dogs and cats, on Mondays from 4 to 8 p.m., bring your furry friends to meet with Santa and they too will receive a treat. Photo packages are available for purchase or you can take your own to create a treasured memory for your family.

Santa event for children with special needs

For kids with special needs, it can be challenging to deal with noise and crowds. Station Park has partnered with Utah Easy to Love to offer a magical night with Santa in a low-stress, quiet setting. We know raising a special needs child can be costly, so Station Park offers this free event to help families enjoy even more holiday events together. On Tuesday, Dec. 4 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., each family can visit with Santa, receive a free photo, and enjoy free ice skating, games, and treats. To make reservations, contact Utah Easy to Love.
