SPANISH FORK — A public meeting is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon to allow people to ask questions about the Coal Hollow Fire in southeast Utah county.

Officials from a variety of agencies including the Rocky Mountain Incident Management Team, Manti-La Sal and Uinta-Wasatch-Cache national forests, and the state and county are scheduled to answer questions about the fire that has now burned more than 25,000 acres.

The meeting is slated to begin at 5 p.m. at Maple Mountain High School, 51 N. Spanish Fork Parkway (2550 East), in Spanish Fork.

The fire continues to burn about 15 miles southeast of Spanish Fork and was last listed at 2 percent contained.

U.S. Highway 6 reopened Monday night after it had been closed for more than 48 hours. The fire crossed the highway Sunday near Rough Hollow south of Teat Mountain in Utah County. The highway speed limit has been reduced to 45 mph, officials said.
