SALT LAKE CITY — The NBA released its full season schedule Friday, and the Jazz are slated to open up against the Sacramento Kings on the road.

The Jazz will play the Kings on Oct. 17 at 8 p.m. before returning home to play the back-to-back champions Golden State Warriors on Oct. 19, which was announced earlier in the week. Utah’s home opener will be on ESPN as one of eight games broadcast by ESPN this year.

Utah is slated to play a total of 17 nationally-televised games. The Jazz will play three on TNT and six on NBA TV, in addition to the previously mentioned games on ESPN.

Utah will get its first crack at former Jazzman Gordon Hayward on Nov. 9 at home as the Boston Celtics come to town. They will return to Boston nearly a week later. The Jazz have yet to play against Hayward in another uniform as he suffered a season-ending injury in the first game of the season last year.

The November schedule will be mostly spent traveling for the Jazz, as 10 of the 16 games will be on the road. Utah opens up a five-game road stretch on Nov. 12 against Memphis and will continue the trip against Dallas, Philadelphia, Boston and Indiana before getting a one-game home reprieve.

The Jazz close out the November schedule with a home game against Indiana sandwiched between away games against the Los Angeles Lakers (Nov. 23) and Sacramento (Nov. 25), and Brooklyn (Nov. 28) and Charlotte (Nov. 30). The away contest on Nov. 23 will be the first time the Jazz play the LeBron James-led Lakers.

Utah’s first crack at the Lakers at home will be on Jan. 11. The Jazz and Lakers will play two other times during the season, with the remaining two being played on March 27 at home and April 7 on the road. Utah will close out the regular season on April 10 against the Los Angeles Clippers.

The schedule also features 14 back-to-back games for the Jazz, including five back-to-back away games and two back-to-back home games.

The Jazz previously announced a Christmas game against the Portland Trail Blazers and its first-ever regular-season game in Mexico City, where they will face the Orlando Magic on Dec. 15. It will be the Jazz’s first game in Mexico since facing Dallas in 2003.
