MAGNA — A jogger was seriously injured Sunday evening during an attack in which she was stabbed by a group of people, officials report.
About 9:45 p.m., a woman was jogging between Magna Copper Park and the Copper Club Golf Course, said Unified Police Sgt. Melody Gray. The woman was confronted by “two or three” individuals who stabbed her with something sharp and went through her pockets, Gray said.
The woman was transported to a nearby hospital in serious condition.
Further information about the suspects was not immediately available. Police were using K-9s Sunday evening to search the area for any evidence that may lead to an arrest.
