THE CAR — When I woke up this morning I had a text messaging waiting for me from a friend and this is all it said, "This is what the internet exists for," with a link to this video.

He's right, and I'm forever grateful. I've watched this video about a million times already and I'm looking forward to a million more.

If I had seen this video from 2015 a year ago instead of this morning, I would have had a much different reaction to it. That's because last August I was visiting family in Seattle enjoying some ice cream on a street corner. A bee flew by my 4-year-old nephew and he started to go into a panic. I told him, "Calm down, buddy. If you don't bug him he won't sting you." The little tyke did as his uncle instructed and about five seconds later, the bee stung him on the hand and chaos ensued. His trust in Uncle John was forever destroyed.

Yesterday's Have You Seen This?

It's this experience that made me realize bees and wasps just want to watch the world burn, and I totally relate to the girls in this video, especially the one in the back. The girl in the back seat is like the pilot of a crashing plane who knows everyone in the fuselage is doomed well before they even know trouble is on the way. Her face of terror while the girl in the front enjoys life is heartbreakingly hilarious. When the girl in the front finally sees the wasp, the realization that she will never be able to go back in time before this moment when a wasp changed her life is evident. But the girl in the back has been in cardiac arrest for what seems like hours already and there is no end in sight.

I have no idea how this encounter ended, but if I know wasps like I think I do, it probably didn't end well for these girls.
