CROATIA — With just a few days left until the World Cup Final, everyone's planning their watch parties and getting excited. But if you're a firefighter, it's a little harder to make sure your plans will run smoothly.
Some firefighters in Croatia were at their station watching one of the World Cup matches recently. They look nervous and excited for their team, as you can see in this video.
But then, as the game is close to ending, an alarm sounds in the fire station. Everyone reacts simultaneously and before you even have a chance to blink, the firefighters have jumped out of their seats, grabbed their jackets and are pulling out of the station in their truck.
Five seconds later, Croatia scores a game-winning goal.

Three of the firefighters who stayed behind get to watch the goal and they erupt in cheers for their country — just with a much smaller group than they were with moments earlier. It's a really cool video and a nice reminder that firefighters often have to sacrifice to keep us safe. These guys didn't hesitate for even a split second when duty called.
