SPRINGDALE, Washington County — A Zion National Park trail reopened Thursday after two rock falls closed it earlier this week.

The Hidden Canyon Trail closed after park rangers received a report of a rock fall late Monday afternoon, according to Aly Baltrus, Zion National Park chief of interpretation and visitor services.

Rangers spent time assessing the chains in the 45-foot section where the fall occurred. However, a second rock fall Tuesday prolonged the closure.

Officials tweeted that it reopened Thursday afternoon.

No injuries were reported in the rock falls.
