Woman dies after being hit by car in West Valley City

WEST VALLEY CITY — A woman died after she was hit by a car early Wednesday morning, officials said.

The woman was crossing a street near Redwood Road and 3500 South about 1:30 a.m. when the car hit her. She was not in a crosswalk, according to police.

The woman's name has not yet been released.

The driver is cooperating with investigators, police said.
