Early morning duck rescue in Layton

Jill H.

"This morning about 6:30 a.m. as my husband was leaving for work, he heard the little cries of some ducklings. He walked out front to see a mom duck standing by the storm drain with three of her ducklings, but he could hear more down in the drain. The local Layton Fire Department was called and they came to the rescue! All the sweet babies were helped out and reunited with their worried mama! Love that these amazing men and women help out whenever, wherever, with whatever they can!"

"After the rescue, these cute girls took the firefighters a thank you card with some doughnuts. They gave the girls a fun tour of the trucks and let them turn on the lights and ring the siren! This fire department is always going above and beyond! This may seem like such a simple thing they did, but it meant a lot to the kids who were watching. The little things do matter!"
