MII CHANNEL — Remember how good the theme music was on the Wii?

Here, if you don't remember, I found a video that is just a full hour of the boppy and delightful tunes set over a photo of a koala bear. Listen for a sec and then come back.

OK, now that we are all feeling properly nostalgic and Mii-like, I have a trend to tell you about. It's called the "Wii Challenge," and it's amazing. It involves teens (or I guess people of any age, but let's face it, mostly teens) choreographing creative dance routines to the Wii theme music.

The latest edition of the challenge was filmed by hip-hop dancer Kida Burns, also known as "Kida the Great," and it shows that if you're talented enough, you can make anything look cool.

The video was posted on Instagram Tuesday and already has more than 900,000 views. It also kicked off a trend of people posting their own versions of the challenge on Instagram with the hashtag #WiiChallenge.

But despite the "So You Think You Can Dance" season 13 winner's video being what started the flood of new Wii Challenge videos, Kida the Great's video wasn't the first.

Back in September, a YouTube channel called "Long Neck Ladies" uploaded a similar video of a group performing a bizarre routine to the Wii theme music. That video now has 4 million views. It's weird, but I also love it and want every single person reading this article to enjoy it as much as I do.

Whether you like the Long Neck Ladies' version better or you prefer Kida the Great's Wii Challenge video, this is a trend we can all get behind. If you decide to record your own #WiiChallenge video, be sure to tag KSL.com when you upload it to Instagram.
