A thoughtful prize

Brianne C.

“My 1-year-old son and I went to the grocery store. We walked into the area where there were a bunch of claw machines and there was a man there refilling them at the time. I took out a quarter to see what we could win. We ended up quarterless and prizeless. The man noticed, and before we left, the man filling the machines opened up one of them and grabbed a blue rubber bouncy ball and gave it to my son. It was just a small thing but it brought tears to my eyes. There’s a lot of nice people in the world and we should keep paying it forward! “

Picking up after others

RML

“I consider myself a responsible dog owner and tend to grumble when others do not pick up after their dogs. Last week, I was hiking in Snow Canyon and passed an older couple who, armed with plastic bags and gloves (and no dog), were walking the trails and picking up dog droppings which had been left and ignored by previous thoughtless hikers. Kudos to this couple who chose not to grumble but to do something themselves to rectify a problem caused by others. So grateful for those who work to keep the canyons beautiful for all of us.”
