THE KID MUSEUM — I cannot be positive, but I think the little guy in this video believes his aunt is a Tyrannosaurus rex and if he stays really still when he's in trouble she won't see him.

Of course, his aunt isn't a T-rex, but I have to give it to this kid for his dedication to his performance.

The little dude got in trouble for touching something that wasn't his, and his defense is to stay as still as humanly possible and the adult either won't see him or will believe he's just a statue and not get mad (or just think he's so stinking cute that it doesn't matter what he did). The latter is what happened here.

In the video description, Mel wrote this about her nephew: "This kid always goes into statue mode when he thinks he's in trouble. But only with me. Like if he just stands perfectly still he won't get into trouble or nothing will happen to him. He only does this stare down with me. Gotta love him. I tried to keep a straight face."

I couldn't keep a straight face and I was just watching it on my laptop, so good luck, Mel.

Yesterday's Have You Seen This?

I thought I'd learn something from this kid and tried to pull this with my wife when I ate her leftover sandwich. I stood in front of the fridge with the door open, sandwich in my hand, and a big chunk of it in my mouth. My wife kept asking, "Why did you eat the rest of my sandwich?" I stayed perfectly still and just stared at her. She became increasingly irritated and the sandwich in my mouth became increasingly soggy. It was an ugly combination and suffice it to say that my adorableness did not shine through and we start seeing a marriage counselor next week.

So, if you're incredibly cute and precious, try this defense. If you're basically a real-life ogre like me, avoid this defense. Learn from my mistakes.
