GRAND FORKS, N.D. — Geno Crandall had a game-high 25 points with nine rebounds and eight assists as North Dakota snapped Weber State’s three-game winning streak with an 89-79 win Saturday afternoon in Big Sky Conference play.
Weber State (10-7, 3-2 Big Sky) shot 43 percent from the field and out-rebounded the Fighting Hawks 39-38, but committed 16 turnovers in the loss.
Jerrick Harding scored 22 points to lead the Wildcats, and Michal Kozak added a career-high 18 points.
“Overall, it wasn’t for a lack of effort today,” Weber State coach Randy Rahe said. “Our guys came and competed really hard. We’ve got a couple of guys that aren’t playing really well right now, and we’re on a limited bench and we have limited depth. We’ve got to get ore guys playing better. If we do, we’re going to be a pretty good basketball team.”
Weber State returns home next Thursday against Sacramento State.
