THE ARCTIC — You may have heard about the abnormally frigid temperatures blasting the East Coast recently due to a bomb cyclone, which is the coolest weather term I've ever heard (pun intended).
But what you may not have seen yet is the actual ocean freezing.
In a video posted to YouTube by Ryan Canty, we get a look at what some East Coast beaches look like right now after the region was blasted by "wicked cold air," and it's pretty remarkable.
"It's about 20 below," a man says in the video, as the camera pans around a beach covered in solid ice stretching as far as the eye can see. "It looks like Antarctica."

Join me while I take you there.According to a post on Reddit, the ocean freezing over is rare enough that one person's grandma has only seen it happen three times in the 80 years she's lived in Cape Cod. So I guess if you've ever wanted to walk on the Atlantic Ocean, now's your chance.
