SALT LAKE CITY — The inversion has officially set in over the Wasatch Front, and though it may be hard to breathe, at least the sunsets are nice.

This week's user-submitted gallery is filled with photos showing Utah's poor air quality in all its smoggy glory. With clouds and fog blanketing the valley, the sun seems to disappear at times, but come sunrise and sunset, the colors filter through and we get some spectacular views. Browse the gallery below to see.

Utahns also submitted photos of more news they saw happening throughout the past few weeks, including photos of protests that took place outside the state Capitol as President Donald Trump visited Utah.

If you see news happening this week, be sure to submit photos to be featured in our next gallery. And with the inversion expected to stick around for a while, remember to check on the air quality near you by clicking here and send any photos you snap our way.
