SALT LAKE CITY — It’s December and Christmas is not too far away. Time for snow, shopping for gifts, hot chocolate and — most importantly — spending time with loved ones.
One thing that gets many in the Christmas spirit is watching movies about the holiday.
For the next two weeks, we’re hosting a tournament to determine which is Utah’s favorite Christmas movie. We’re starting the field with 32 movies. You have until Wednesday night to vote and narrow the field down to 16.
For this poll, our criteria were movies rated G through PG-13 where the main story plot revolves around Christmas.
Click on each link to find out more information on each movie.
And the nominees are, in no particular order:
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
The Nightmare Before Christmas
Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (1967)
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
Home Alone 2: Lost in New York
Remember, this is completely subjective and fun. All of these movies are nice holiday fun. How you come to decide upon the better of the two movies paired against another is entirely up to you.
If you want others to vote, share the poll and help your favorite Christmas movie win.
Enjoy and remember to look for the second-round voting on Thursday!
