1. Salt Lake police arrest man after human remains are found

One man has been arrested in a homicide case after investigators received a crime tip that led to the recovery of another man's remains several feet underground Saturday.

2. 1 dead, 6 injured in head-on crash near Moab

An Arizona man is dead after a Saturday afternoon crash on U.S. Highway 191 north of Moab, according to Utah Highway Patrol.

3. Woman arrested in connection with stabbing of neighbor

A woman accused of stabbing a neighbor in the neck Wednesday morning was arrested Saturday.

Dyann Hernandez, 23, was taken into custody by Utah Highway Patrol troopers and agents with the Utah State Bureau of Investigation in West Valley City, according to UHP trooper Jared Cornia.

4. Layton woman dies after early-morning crash on I-15

A 27-year-old woman died early Saturday morning after she was partially ejected from a car on I-15, Utah Highway Patrol officials said.

5. Bridge completes Jordan River Parkway after decades of planning, work

A special 5K was held Saturday to celebrate the opening of the Jordan River Parkway Trail bridge, the last piece of the Jordan River Trail.

1. SUU draws No. 8 national seed; Weber State to host first-ever FCS Playoff game

The Thunderbirds (9-2) earned a No. 8 seed in the FCS playoffs, and SUU — which clinched a second Big Sky Conference championship in three years Saturday — will face the winners of Weber State and Western Illinois on Dec. 2 in Cedar City.

2. No. 16 Washington gets 10 points in last minute to stun Utah

Vizcaino hit a 38-yard field goal as time expired and No. 16 Washington scored 10 points in the final 58 seconds to stun Utah 33-30 on Saturday night.

3. Utah State bowl eligible after 38-0 win over Hawaii

Jordan Love passed for a score and ran for another, Gerold Bright and LaJuan Hunt each had scoring runs, and Utah State beat Hawaii 38-0 on Saturday to become bowl eligible for the sixth time in seven years.

4. Defense powers Bingham to undefeated season, title in first season of Class 6A

Lolani Langi returned a fumble 47 yards for a touchdown on the opening drive of the second half, and Wissler and Amoni Kaili combined for 77 yards and a touchdown to help Bingham to a 27-14 win over East in the Class 6A state championship Friday at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

5. Cooper rewrites record book, saves best for last to lead Lehi to 5A championship

Cammon Cooper completed 19 passes for 262 yards and five touchdowns and ran for two more scores, and tight end Dallin Holker caught nine passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns to help the Pioneers roll by their crosstown rival Falcons, 55-17 in the Class 5A state championship Friday night at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
