ELMORE COUNTY — Idaho State police arrested two people Wednesday morning for suspected marijuana trafficking and other charges after locating 215 pounds of marijuana inside a vehicle.
In addition to police locating the 215 pounds of marijuana, they said they also located 16.8 pounds of hashish oil, the Idaho Press-Tribune reported.
Police say that the drugs were located at approximately 9:45 a.m. Wednesday during a traffic stop on eastbound Interstate 84 at milepost 95 in Elmore County. Two people were arrested for suspected marijuana trafficking, felony possession of hashish oil and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jordan Dalton, 26, of Willingboro, New Jersey, and Leida Figueroa, 44, of Groveland, Florida, were both booked into the Elmore County Jail.
Idaho State Police reports that since 2014, the department has seized more than 1,900 pounds of marijuana from would-be traffickers.
