Runnin' Utes release full schedule for 2017-18 season

SALT LAKE CITY — With just over a month to go before the basketball season starts, the University of Utah released its season schedule Tuesday.

The Runnin’ Utes will begin conference play on the road against the two Oregon schools, starting with last season’s Pac-12 championship runner-up Oregon on Friday, Dec. 29, followed by Oregon State on Sunday, Dec. 31.

Utah will face defending Pac-12 champ Arizona in its home-opener the following week on Thursday, Jan. 4. The game will be broadcast either on ESPN or ESPN2; in what is one of 11 games in conference play where Utah will be featured on the national stage. The remaining games will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks.

The Utes will close out the regular season against Colorado at the Huntsman Center on March 3, 2018. The Pac-12 Tournament in Las Vegas, Nevada, will be held the following week from March 7-10 at the T-Mobile Arena.

Utah will play all conference opponents twice in a home-and-home series except for Cal, Oregon, Oregon State and Stanford.

Utah begins the season at home on Nov. 3 at 6:30 p.m. against Montana Tech in an exhibition game at the Huntsman Center.
