BROOKLYN — After a strong Summer League season, Jeremy Senglin will get a shot at the NBA.
The Brooklyn Nets signed the former Weber State star to a contract, the team announced Friday in a joint release with former Loyola Chicago guard Milton Doyle.
Terms of the deal were not released, but Senglin’s camp told the Standard-Examiner that the deal contains either a minimum NBA salary or a two-way contract, meaning he would spend time with the Nets’ G-League affiliate in Long Island.
“Everybody wants to hear their name called, but it’s not the breaking point if you don’t," Senglin told KSL Sports in April. "I’m never going to get anything handed to me.”
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Senglin averaged 16.7 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game in 123 starts for the Wildcats from 2013-17. He earned all-Big Sky honors twice in his career, and became the school’s all-time leading scorer with 2,078 points as a senior in 2017 while setting a Big Sky all-time 3-point record.
A native of Arlington, Texas, Senglin signed with the Nets’ summer league team and averaged 7.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 13.5 minutes across four games in Las Vegas.
