Days of '47 Rodeo
One of Utah’s longest-standing traditions, the Days of ’47 Rodeo has celebrated Utah’s heritage since 1857. This year the rodeo will be held at the Utah State Fairpark in the brand-new, $16 million, 10,000 seat Days of ’47 Arena.
Only the best rodeo athletes will compete; testing their skills in bull riding, barrel racing, bareback riding, team roping, and more. Semi-final performances take place July 19-22, culminating with the Gold Medal Round on July 24.
There’s a lot more than just world-class rodeo at the Days of ’47 Cowboy Games & Rodeo. From live music and dancing, to family fun in the Frontier Fun Zone and finger-licking BBQ, there’s something for every cowboy and cowgirl in the family. Events start at 1pm from July 19-24.

Downtown Farmers Market
This year the Downtown Farmers Market in Salt Lake City is celebrating its 26th anniversary at Pioneer Park. Since its inception in 1992, the Downtown Farmers Market has supported sustainable, regional agriculture and has educated consumers about shopping local.
Shopping at the Downtown Farmers Market not only means you’re getting the freshest fruits and vegetables - as well as grass-fed meats, eggs, dairy, and honey - but you’re also helping the local economy. Buying local means more local money. Every dollar spent generates twice as much income for our local economy.
Not to mention, when you buy local foods, you create a more intimate relationship with the people who grow your food. The Downtown Farmers Market includes vendors from more than 100 farms and ranches from within 250 miles of Salt Lake City.
The Downtown Farmer’s Market runs every Saturday, from June to October, from 8am to 2pm at Pioneer Park in Salt Lake City. If you can’t make it Saturday, the Tuesday Farmers Market is open every Tuesday evening from August to October.
Utah Shakespeare Festival
A year after unveiling its new home at the Beverly Taylor Sorenson Center for the Arts, the Tony Award-winning Utah Shakespeare Festival opens for its 56th season.
The $39 million dollar arts complex includes three theatres; the outdoor Engelstad Shakespeare Theatre, the beautiful Randall L. Jones Theatre, and the 200-seat black box Eileen and Allen Anes Studio Theatre.
The Utah Shakespeare Festival is one of the premier regional theaters in the county, and one of the biggest Shakespeare festivals in the nation. During the sixteen-week season, the Festival will be showcasing 10 plays including Shakespeare in Love, Romeo and Juliet, and Guys and Dolls. The festival expects to sell over 100,000 tickets this season.

The Red Butte Garden Outdoor Concert Series is a must-do for outdoor concert lovers. Red Butte Garden is located on the University of Utah campus and is the largest botanical garden in the Intermountain West. Take a walk in the garden during intermission and then go back to enjoy your favorite music under the stars. Concerts sell out fast, thankfully there are still tickets left to some of the best shows this season.
The Twilight Concert Series in Pioneer Park features a wide range of outstanding musicians from around the world, and the best part it will only cost you $7.50 to get into the gates.
Bear Lake Raspberry Days
Tourists from all across the United States come to Garden City every year in August to celebrate the harvest of the famous Bear Lake Raspberries.
The harvest of these succulent treats starts around the third week of July and lasts 3 to 4 weeks. This year the Raspberry Days Festival will be held August 3rd, 4th and 5th.
If the delicious raspberries aren’t enough to get you to festival, come to Garden City for the parade, rodeo, live music and fireworks.
