CEDAR FORT — A parachutist received minor injuries Wednesday afternoon during a jump near Cedar Fort, officials said.
The parachutist sustained injuries that were not life-threatening and was taken to a nearby hospital, according to Utah County Sheriff’s Sgt. Spencer Cannon.
Officials did not release further information about the victim’s age or gender.
Originally, officials believed a parachutist came down without a parachute, but it was later determined it was actually a gear bag and not a person, Cannon said.
No further information on the incident was released.
