SALT LAKE CITY — One of the worst own goals ever, Kyrie Irving pulls the okie-doke on Boston, LeBron James missing an open jam, and a reporter asks Manu Ginobili if he just retired after speaking Spanish. More fun stories from the world of sports in today’s From Left Field.

England U-20 player concedes one of the most bizarre own goals ever

In soccer, giving up an own goal is disappointing but it happens.

For a young English player at the FIFA U-20 World Cup, he might have given up the longest, most bizarre own goal in recent history.

In the 59th minute of England’s group stage match against Guinea, defender Fikayo Tomori decided to back pass the ball to goalkeeper Dean Henderson. But Tomori’s pass was a bit too to the right of Henderson and the ball rolled past a stretched Henderson for the own goal.

It was technically Guinea’s first ever U-20 World Cup goal.

England was unable to score a second goal and was held to a 1-1 draw — disappointing result for the Three Lions.

Kyrie finishes stellar night with okie-doke fake behind-the-back pass =====================================================================

The Cleveland Cavaliers were looking poor in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston Celtics.

Then Kyrie Irving took over.

“Uncle Drew” lit it up in the third quarter, scoring 21 of his 42 points. Irving’s stellar performance helped the Cavs come back to beat the Celtics.

To end the game, Irving decided to show off a bit of the ball-handling skills with the okie-doke, behind-the-back fake pass that ended in a layup.

LeBron James misses wide-open dunk

LeBron James is arguably the NBA’s best dunker. But on Tuesday night against the Celtics, he might have tried a bit too hard to throw down the jam.

LeBron fail. But credit to Kevin Love for the great pass.

Reporter asks Manu Ginobili if he retired when speaking Spanish

San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili is a future Hall-of-Famer. After the Spurs’ elimination in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals against the Golden State Warriors on Monday night, the press had many questions for Manu. The elephant in the room was whether or not the Argentine was going to call it a career during his postgame press conference.

Then, hilarity ensued.

After Ginobili answered a question in Spanish, an English-only speaking reporter was worried he might have missed Ginobili announcing his retirement. Then, the reporter asked Manu the obvious question.

No te preocupes, Manu no se retiró. ![](https://beacon.deseretconnect.com/beacon.gif?cid=515373&pid=4)
