SALT LAKE CITY — Just like in February, one Jazz star was thrilled, the other disappointed. But this Thursday, the results were the opposite of that month's All-Star balloting.

Rudy Gobert was named to the All-NBA Second Team Thursday, while Gordon Hayward was left off all three All-NBA teams. Hayward did receive votes, but finished eighth among all forwards. Here are the full results:

> NBA announces All-NBA teams. Neither Paul George nor Gordon Hayward made it. Thus, no supermax for either this year. [pic.twitter.com/GbHl82Ss9G](https://t.co/GbHl82Ss9G) > > — Howard Beck (@HowardBeck) [May 18, 2017](https://twitter.com/HowardBeck/status/865266722827370498)

Gobert's honor reflects his excellent season, as he took leaps on the offensive and defensive end to become one of the league's elite centers. He finished just four votes short of Anthony Davis' total among centers.

Meanwhile, Hayward being left off the All-NBA teams impacts the Jazz in a bigger way. As a result, he is not eligible for the Designated Player Veteran Extension that would have given him 35 percent of the cap if he chose to extend his contract for five years with the Jazz. Had Hayward made the All-NBA teams, the Jazz could have extended him with a 5-year, $219 million dollar extension if Hayward opted in to his contract this season.

Now, though, Hayward has a choice. If he'd like, he can bet on himself to make an All-NBA team in the next two seasons and sign a short-term contract with the Jazz, opening up the possibility he makes the maximum 35 percent of the cap in the future. Or he can sign a longer deal with the Jazz or another team to guarantee himself more money now.

More coverage coming throughout the afternoon.
