Hooker leads N. Dakota past Weber St. 77-68 for Big Sky lead

OGDEN (AP) — Quinton Hooker scored 22 points, Geno Crandall had 19, and Cortez Seales finished with 17 and North Dakota beat Weber State 77-68 to move a half-game ahead of the second-place Wildcats in Big Sky play.

North Dakota (17-8, 12-3) went on an 8-0 run starting and ending with Hooker layups and were largely in control the rest of the way. Hooker added a 3 with 11:46 to go to make it 50-39.

Jeremy Senglin made a 3, and Kyndahl Hill had a pair of free throws to close to 56-53. Senglin made two foul shots with 4:04 left and Weber State (16-9, 11-3) trailed 63-61. But Hooker countered with a 3, Seales added a layup, and Hooker hit two more free throws and the Wildcats were done.

Senglin led the Wildcats with 22 points, Hill scored 14 and grabbed 10 boards, and Jerrick Harding had 13 points.
