Arizona freshman Deandre Ayton has been named player and newcomer of the year on the All-Pac-12 Conference men's basketball team announced Tuesday by The Associated Press. Utah coach Larry Krystkowiak was named coach of the year.

Utah gymnastics has performed consistently throughout the season, ranking among the nation’s elite teams. Its schedule and training aren’t consistent, though, unless you view them as consistently changing.

College athletics, particularly basketball, has been the focus of great scrutiny recently as reports surfaced of players receiving money against NCAA rules. The positive to come out of it is the loud call for widespread reform of the regulations.
