THE FEELS — There have been a few times a movie punched me right in the feels and left me doubled over. Movies do that sometimes, but one movie made all the other gut punches seem like love taps.

I was 10 years old and my parents took my brother and me to see "The Lion King." Everything was great. The popcorn was tasty, the musical numbers were toe-tapping and the animation had my attention.

Then it happened, the thing I never saw coming; Mufasa died. This wasn't just an emotional left cross to my 10-year-old brain, it was a downright assault that destroyed me. I didn't get to see the rest of the film because I was too busy fruitlessly picking up the shambles of my childhood that were now strewn across the floor like a pail of dirt thrown into the wind. Things were never the same after witnessing the death of the king.

Turns out 10-year-old boys with tender hearts and an affinity for popcorn and Raisinettes and the dog in this video have a lot in common.

This pups name is Luna, and according to the description on the video, she was busy playing with her toys not paying much attention to the screen, but then what I like to refer to as "The Fall" happened and everything changed.

"Right as Mufasa falls to his death, she stops and turns to the TV to watch," Luna's human wrote on YouTube. "To see her crying at the TV was the sweetest thing I think I’ve ever seen. She even lays down right after Simba lays with his dad."

Luna's human also points out that we don't deserve dogs and how incredible this pup's ability to show empathy is, and I'd have to agree.

Watch this adorable video and get ready to feel all the feels again and hide under your covers for the rest of the day asking what the meaning of life really is, because Mufasa's death has that effect.
