THE BACKYARD — Every time I go golfing, I am reminded of two things. The first is the fact that I am a terrible golfer and I need to stop throwing my money into the garbage. The second is that I never want to live near a golf course, because golfers like me exist and someone or something at my house will eventually be hit and broken.
This guy, however, has me thinking maybe I should move near a golf course purely for the jokes.
In this video, a family captures this dad's favorite dad joke. Their backyard is up against a golf course and they say dad does this every time a golf ball ends up in the yard. The dad lays down next to the ball and acts like he was hit by it and knocked out.
Possibly the best thing I’ve ever seen. Can’t. Stop. Laughing... pic.twitter.com/4q52xC0FG2

The reaction of the family laughing is priceless, but the reaction of the golfer is a little concerning. The man is clearly worried and scared when he sees a man laying face down and motionless next to his errant ball, but he doesn't do anything. It almost seems as if he's ready to bolt and pretend like this was not his slice that caused this mayhem.
You can see the relief on the golfer's face when dad gets up and tosses the ball back to him, but he's still in shock.
I should cut this guy some slack. While I’d like to think I'd jump the fence to help the person I just hit, maybe I wouldn't. Maybe my flight response would kick in and I'd start Googling how to get a fake passport and disappear. I really don't know because, thankfully, out of all the horrendous shots I have hit in my golf outings, I have yet to break a window or cause blunt force trauma to anyone's head.
Well, at least that I know of.
Check out the video and enjoy what is one of the best dad jokes I've ever seen.
