SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz will enter the 2019-20 season as one of the deepest teams in the league — so deep they are one of just six squads to have five players ranked in Sports Illustrated's annual list of the Top 100 players in the NBA.
None of the five Jazzmen are ranked lower than 65, even.
Joe Ingles comes is 65th, Bojan Bogdanovic is 52nd, Donovan Mitchell is 29th, Mike Conley is 26th and Rudy Gobert is 14th.
Are some too high? Too low? Did SI get it right? On this week's Jazz Shorts podcast, KSL.com's Sean Walker and Ryan Miller discuss just that. (Spoiler: Ryan is a really big fan of Conley.)
The two also get into the Jazz players World Cup performances and what starring for the United States could mean for Donovan Mitchell's Olympic hopes next summer. Yes, there will be plenty more players eager to go to Japan than there were lining up to go to China, but Mitchell's performance (not too mention his willingness to participate) at the World Cup, might have just made him an Olympian.
