SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz have signed draft picks Jarrell Brantley and Justin Wright-Foreman to two-way contracts, the team announced on Tuesday.
The Jazz traded into the No. 50 pick in the NBA Draft to take Brantley, and then selected Wright-Foreman with the 53rd pick.
Wright-Foreman will wear No. 3 for the Jazz; Brantley will be No. 5.
By signing two-way contracts, Wright-Foreman and Brantley will essentially be the Jazz’s 16th and 17th players on their roster. Not including the time spent before and after the G League season, the two players will be able to spend up to 45 days with the Jazz next season.
Brantley appeared in two games during the Salt Lake City Summer League and averaged 13.5 points and five rebounds, earning 2019 SLC Summer League Standout honors. He only played in two games during the Summer League in Las Vegas due to a minor injury.
Brantley averaged 19.4 points and 8.4 rebounds in his senior season at the College of Charleston.
Wright-Foreman averaged 13 points and 3.5 assists in two SLC Summer League games, including a 20-point performance in a win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. He missed the latter part of the Vegas summer league because he was away from the team for personal reasons.
Wright-Foreman was a back-to-back Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year and last season ranked second in the nation in points, with 27.1 per game.
The Jazz signed the team’s other second-round pick, Miye Oni, to a contract on Monday.
