DRAINING THE SHOT CLOCK — You know we love nothing more than a good buzzer-beater here at Great Clips of the Week.

As the clock runs down and we get closer to the NCAA Tournament in March, there's only going to be more of what we love.

But why wait? Let's take a look at some of our favorites from the pulse-pounding moments from the weekend.

As always, click the video above for more Great Clips.

Holland in the nick of time

Jordan Holland had one second to help Utah Valley women's basketball win its fourth-straight game in Western Athletic Conference play.

It was plenty of time for her.

Holland sprinted into the lane with almost no time on the clock, took the inbound's pass, and laid up the game-winning shot at the buzzer to lift the Wolverines to a 57-55 win at UT Rio Grande Valley last weekend.

It was Holland's 19th point of the game and helped the Wolverines' 4-0 start in league play last Thursday night.

UVU went on to suffer its first league loss of the season, 58-52 at New Mexico State, dropping the Wolverines to 10-8 overall and 4-1 in WAC play (they weren't alone; Utah Valley's men's team also lost Saturday to New Mexico State, snapping a 22-game home-court winning streak, the second-longest active such streak in the nation).

The UVU women will return to action Thursday at 11 a.m. at Lockhart Arena.

MOAR buzzer-beaters, plz

Andrew Regan is a special-needs student at Cherry Creek High School in Greenwood, Colorado, just outside Denver.

Like most kids his age, he plays basketball — but for the school’s Unified sports teams.

But he’s unlike a lot of kids in one special way — how many of them can say they hit a half-court buzzer-beat by their junior year of high school?

The hustle. The form. The celebration.

There is no better shot you will see at any level of basketball.

Que tal, Queta?

If you don’t know the name Neemias Queta, learn it quickly.

He’s the 6-foot-11 freshman from Portugal who signed with Utah State shortly after inching coach Craig Smith moved to Logan.

And he’s quickly becoming the breakout star of the Aggies’ first season under the former South Dakota mastermind.

Queta is averaging 11.0 points and 8.2 rebounds per game for the Aggies, who are 14-5 and 4-2 in Mountain West play after leading from start to finish in an 87-72 win over Colorado State on Saturday night.

There was plenty of Queta in that game, too. He had 18 points, 11 rebounds and three blocked shots in the USU win.

Like we said, get to know the name. You won’t regret it.
